Lacie Walker Early Intervention Executive Assistant
Lacie Walker
Early Intervention Executive Assistant

Hi my name is Lacie- IE. I have always had the passion for working with kids for as long as I can remember, whether babysitting my sister or all the neighbor kids. I attended Fort Ransom-Lisbon School and graduated from Jamestown in 2006.

What’s your favorite part of working at T & K Pediatric Services?

My favorite thing about working at T&K is the mutual respect for the importance of all the positions. Everyone knows that all the jobs are vital in this company and there is no lack of appreciation.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about your job?

Forming good relationships with other programs is vital. As an admin it's crucial to have a mutual understanding/respect for the other programs- especially their admin.

Helping each other out, one can learn a lot about the importance of all the programs in your community. Working together for the best interest of the kiddos. At the end of the day, that’s what matters most.

What’s a typical day like for you (or what’s never typical)?

A typical Day in my job as EI Admin Asst- The only thing typical about my day is it's never the same, never predictable, and always changing. And I love it!

What’s something that always makes you smile at work?

The kids, I love when they get comfortable enough and come up to the window to check in and tell me their names and who they are seeing.

Human Resources

Originally from Wyoming, I’ve had the opportunity to travel across the U.S. and experience different parts of the world. These experiences have shaped my perspective both personally and professionally. I relocated to Jamestown in 2022 and found my home not just in the community, but also in my career path. My journey into human resources began in 2018 when I joined the Army National Guard. Through the military, I learned the importance of structure, accountability, and leading with intention. These principles continue to guide me in my role at T & K. In 2024, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, further strengthening my knowledge and commitment to effective leadership. I’m passionate about cultivating strong, connected teams, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring every employee feels genuinely supported and valued.

What's your favorite part of working at T & K?

My favorite part is getting to support the people who make the mission happen. Every therapist, admin, and team member at T & K is doing such meaningful work, and I love being in a role where I can advocate for them, help solve problems, and create systems that help them thrive. Being in HR gives me a unique view of how much heart goes into this organization, and it’s an honor to help take care of the people who take care of others.

What's one thing your wish people knew about your job?

HR is so much more than policies and paperwork. A huge part of my job is listening to what our team needs, what challenges they’re facing, and how we can continuously improve our culture and processes. It’s about creating trust, offering support, and making sure people feel seen and heard.

What's a typical day like for you (or what's never typical)?

No day is ever exactly the same! One minute I might be onboarding a new hire, the next I’m updating policies, answering benefits questions, helping with a performance review, or planning a staff appreciation event. I also handle compliance, payroll coordination, and conflict resolution when needed. It’s a juggling act sometimes, but that variety is part of what makes HR so rewarding.

What's something that always makes you smile at work?

Seeing people grow, whether it’s someone stepping confidently into a new role, receiving great feedback on their performance, or simply telling me they feel supported and appreciated. I also love when employees stop by just to chat or share something good that happened in their day. It reminds me that HR isn’t just about rules, it’s about relationships.

What’s your favorite part of working at T & K Pediatric Services?

I love seeing the difference these ladies are making in these children’s daily lives. I also love that T&K is family oriented and they understand that sometimes your family comes first.  They understand that things come up last minute and they don’t make you feel bad about it.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about your job?

I never know exactly what is going to happen when I come in for the day.  When it comes to insurance and billing, a lot of the time the decision the insurance companies make is completely out of our hands.  If there is something I can do to help, I will give it a try.

What’s a typical day like for you (or what’s never typical)?

I have things I do every day but not every day is the same. Some things I do every day is checking in children for their sessions, answering the phones and working on billing. Some days we may have to spend time with a child if their therapist has to run downstairs to grab a certain item for their session or their parents are running a little late for pickup. Some days if a therapist is running a little behind and does not have time to pick up the items they used during their last session, we will help put those items away so the therapist can get to their next session.  If a therapist needs copies of something or needs something printed before their next session but they do not have time to run downstairs, we will print or make those copies for them. Some days I sit on the phone with insurance companies trying to figure out what is going on with some claims.

What’s something that always makes you smile at work?

I love seeing the excitement in the children’s faces when they check themselves in for their session.
